Small grants fund
Ferry Farm Community Solar uses the surplus income to support the communities of Selsey and Sidlesham through a £25,000 annual grant fund.
What does it fund?
Local groups can apply for funding as long as their projects meet the eligibility criteria and benefit the Selsey or Sidlesham area. Recent rounds of funding have supported a wide variety of initiatives, such as installing LED lighting, improving insulation in community buildings, adding bike racks to encourage greener travel, and expanding community growing spaces and biodiversity projects. The overall aim is to turn the solar farm’s surplus into practical improvements that benefit local people and the environment.
Who can apply?
The Small Grants Fund is administered on its behalf by Selsey Community Forum. The purpose of the fund is to support community-led projects that improve the environment, increase energy efficiency, protect wildlife, or help the area become more resilient to climate challenges or fuel poverty.
