Residents in Selsey and Sidlesham are being reminded that there is still time to book a limited number of heavily subsidised Home Energy Retrofit Options (HERO) surveys. The surveys are designed to allow residents to make informed decisions about energy efficiency.

Delivered by the National Energy Foundation (NEF) in partnership with Ferry Farm Community Solar, the surveys are designed to help homeowners better understand their property’s energy performance. They provide a detailed assessment of energy use, running costs and carbon emissions, alongside practical recommendations for improving efficiency.

The surveys are especially useful for homeowners or landlords planning renovations work to their properties. Typically costing around £420, the surveys are heavily subsidised, meaning residents only pay a small contribution of around £60, with the rest of the cost covered by Ferry Farm.

Each survey results in a tailored plan outlining steps to make homes warmer and cheaper to run. Recommendations can range from simple, low-cost improvements to larger upgrade projects, helping homeowners understand both upfront costs and long-term savings.

The surveys are available to homes that fall within the Parish boundaries of Selsey and Siddlesham.

With demand high and places nearly filled, residents interested in taking part are urged to register their interest soon before the remaining surveys are allocated.

to register your interest, please head to the NEF SuperHomes website.
