Ferry Farm Community Solar is delighted to announce that its School Grant Fund is now open for new applications — supporting local schools with projects that champion environmental education, sustainability, and climate action.
With an initial allocation of £5,000, the fund aims to empower schools in Selsey and Sidlesham to deliver creative, student-led projects that inspire learning and build long-term environmental benefits for the community.

Who Can Apply
The fund is open to schools based in Selsey or Sidlesham, or Schools proposing projects that directly benefit students from these communities.
What We Fund
Grants will be awarded to projects that focus on environmental education, sustainability, or energy efficiency, and can show a meaningful, lasting impact. Projects may include (but are not limited to):
Student engagement & leadership — Support for student-led citizens’ assemblies, eco councils, or school-wide climate action plans.
Environmental education — Funding for forest schools, nature-based learning, and outdoor environmental installations such as sensory gardens or wildlife areas.
STEM & sustainability initiatives — Support for Greenpower kit cars, STEM projects, and sustainability-focused clubs or events.
Renewable energy & efficiency — Introducing energy-saving technologies, renewable energy installations, or sustainability upgrades within school buildings.
Sustainable food & growing — Initiatives around gardening, sustainable food production, or composting.
Nature conservation — Projects that protect and enhance biodiversity within school grounds.
How to Apply
