Midwinter is a good time to remember it has been a sunny year!
Over the last 12 months, recorded sunshine at the Ferry Farm Community Solar array was 15% ahead of long-term forecasts. Due to electricity network outages in February and March, generation didn’t quite keep up with irradiance, but the output of the solar array still exceeded long-term average projections by 6%.
It's been a very busy year for Ferry Farm Community Solar - we've changed operations and maintenance contractor, completed the buy-back, Triodos Bank loan and community bond offer, and distributed £40,000 to help our community's response to the Covid crisis.
We look forward to our AGM and early 2020 and turning our efforts to helping Selsey and Sidlesham 'build back better' and address the climate crisis.
