Selsey Community Forum to receive the King’s Award for Voluntary Service

Exciting News - Selsey Community Forum has been chosen to receive the King’s Award for Voluntary Service! This prestigious recognition is the highest honor a volunteer service can achieve, equivalent to an MBE, and is awarded for life.

Sesley Community Forum, in partnership with local voluntary organisations, has been dedicated to addressing various community needs. From supporting voluntary carers and individuals living with dementia to aiding the unemployed and those in financial need, their work through Selsey Care Shop has made a significant impact over the past 13 years.

This accolade adds to their achievements, including recognition from the High Sheriff of West Sussex, local MPs, and media coverage, acknowledging their outstanding efforts in serving the community. We are incredibly proud to stand alongside them as a community partner.

Chairman Mike Nicholls expressed his delight, stating, “We are delighted, humbled, and honored to receive this award as we seek to make a positive difference to those in need.”
